Special Education Teacher – SDC Classroom | $65/hr | Paso Robles, CA | Full-Time | 2025–2026 School Year

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to support a self-contained classroom (SDC) in Paso Robles, California. This in-person role begins August 11, 2025, and runs for 36–38 weeks. The teacher will work with students in grades 2–6, with a caseload of approximately 8 students, and must hold a Mild/Moderate credential.

Position Overview

+ Location: Paso Robles, CA

+ Start Date: August 11, 2025

+ End Date: May 2026

+ Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (37.5 hours/week, 30-minute unpaid lunch)

+ Pay Rate: $65/hour (local)

+ Travel Package: $2,793/week for eligible candidates

+ Grade Level: K–12 (focus on 2nd–6th grade)

+ Classroom Type: Self-Contained (SDC)

+ Modality: In-person only

+ Interview Format: Virtual

Responsibilities

+ Provide individualized instruction and support in a self-contained setting

+ Implement IEPs and maintain compliance with district and state guidelines

+ Collaborate with general education staff and support teams

+ Foster a structured and inclusive learning environment

Minimum Requirements

+ Valid California teaching credential with Mild/Moderate authorization

+ Prior school-based experience required

+ CPR certification, TB screening, and health certificate (if applicable)

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
