    JOB SUMMARY:

    This is a Business Analyst - Government Analyst II position in the General Tax Administration Program, Lead Development Process. The incumbent evaluates and compiles data to formulate solutions, strategies, policies, or recommendations. The incumbent gathers requirements and interacts with technical support personnel for the conceptualization, design, development, and implementation of automated and integrated systems using knowledge of data warehousing, ETL, and data modeling. The incumbent also demonstrates the ability to adapt to multiple software tools, with a strong willingness to learn and apply new technologies as needed.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    + Four years of experience in data solutions design, development, or implementation.

    + Two years of experience collaborating with business experts to develop and document database infrastructure or design requirements.

    + SQL Server experience designing, implementing, or optimizing complex SQL queries.

    SUBSTITUTIONS:

    + A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field may substitute for the required four years of experience in data solutions design, development, or implementation.

    PREFERENCES:

    + Candidates who are Microsoft certified as an Azure Data Engineer Associate or SQL Server Database Administrator Associate.

    + Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio for creating, editing, and deploying SSIS packages.

    + Basic knowledge of Python or R for data analysis and automation.

    + Experience using Power BI for reporting and visualization.

    + Ability to use Power Query in Excel for data transformation.

     

    SALARY: The hiring salary for this position generally will not exceed $5,959.11 monthly/$71,509.26 annually.
