Special Education Teacher – Early Childhood | $50/hr | PreK–K | Self-Contained | Full-Time | In-Person

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to support a self-contained early childhood classroom serving PreK–Kindergarten students. This in-person role begins ASAP and runs for 36 weeks. The teacher will work under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator and collaborate with paraprofessionals and general education staff to deliver individualized instruction and support.

Position Overview

+ Location: Bay City, TX

+ Start Date: September 29, 2025

+ End Date: Full school year (36 weeks)

+ Schedule: Monday–Friday, 37.5–40 hours/week

+ Pay Rate: $50/hour

+ Grade Level: PreK–Kindergarten

+ Classroom Type: Self-contained

+ Caseload: 13 students

+ Support: 2 paraprofessionals

+ Modality: In-person only

+ Interview Format: Virtual

Responsibilities

+ Provide specialized instruction and tutorial support

+ Implement IEPs and maintain compliance with district and state guidelines

+ Collaborate with paraprofessionals and general education staff

+ Participate in team planning and student program development

Minimum Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

+ Valid state teaching certificate (Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education)

+ LBS1 endorsement (preferred)

+ One year of teaching experience (preferred)

+ CPR certification, TB screening, and health certificate (if applicable)

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
