    We are currently searching for a motivated Robotic Field Service Engineer. The Engineer will provide FANUC America customers with onsite repair, troubleshooting, programming or maintenance services for FANUC robots and related system peripheral equipment.

     

    The Engineer must be commutable to our Auburn, WA office to coordinate activities and provide hotline phone support in between scheduled service calls.

     

    This position will report to the Manager, Service and Installation within the Service group. This position is a salaried, non-exempt role.

    Primary responsibilities will include:

    + Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain FANUC Robots and controllers, electrical control devices, and peripheral equipment

    + Discuss, diagnose, document, and repair robot operational and process problems as reported by the customer or internal service hotline

    + Provide daily reports to the Service Supervisor to update status and availability

    + Complete and provide a Field Service report for each assignment to the customer and FANUC Headquarters

    + Coordinate responsibilities, activities, and schedule with Service Supervisor/Manager to ensure customer satisfaction, proper billing, and collections.

    + Communicate frequently with involved FAC employees and customer employees to ensure that expectations are met.

    + Return parts shipped for the service call but not purchased by the customer or defective parts replaced under warranty.

    + Provide telephone-based troubleshooting support to customer employees to resolve robot or related peripheral equipment operational problems on an as needed basis.

    + Willingness to travel on a scheduled or moment’s notice, on average 3-4 nights weekly to customer sites

    Ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills and education:

    + High School diploma or GED required

    + Associate's degree in a related technical field, or equivalent technical education, or relevant experience, preferred

    + Minimum of three years of experience working in robotics, automation, or manufacturing environment preferred

    + Ability to obtain a valid driver’s license

    + Mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting experience

    + Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic prints and related technical documentation

    + Knowledge of FANUC robots, controllers, and peripheral equipment preferred

    + Experience with FANUC application software and programming preferred

    FANUC American is seeking a qualified applicant for an Associate Field Service Engineer role. The pay range for this position is $62,733 - $101,670 per year. The pay range listed is based on both salary and other compensation, including bonuses and profit sharing, that an employee may be paid during their employment with FANUC America. Benefits include medical insurance, 401k savings, paid vacation, vision insurance, dental insurance, tuition reimbursements, disability insurance, life insurance, and paid holidays.     A compensation package offered to a successful applicant will ultimately be determined by consideration of a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, an applicant’s geographic location, educational attainment, and level of experience.
