• Maintenance Shop Clerk (Great Waste)

    Waste Connections (Opa Locka, FL)


    We are looking for a Maintenance Shop Clerk to join the team at our Great Waste location in Opa Locka, FL. This position will provide maintenance parts inventory & parts order processing to our site.

     

    6:30am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday and Saturday as needed.

     

    Pay range $20 to $22 an hour DOE

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** **:

    + Conduct self in an appropriate and safe manner, in accordance with District Safety policies.

    + Administer and maintain parts and supplies inventories utilizing company maintenance tracking software and other various systems.

    + Perform annual and monthly stock inventories as directed utilizing company maintenance software data entry and reconciliation.

    + Purchase and track all maintenance parts, goods and services as directed.

    + Administer and maintain company warranty program and tracking through maintenance tracking software.

    + Stocks shelves clean and maintain maintenance facility to insure a safe and orderly work area in accordance with all District / Company requirements.

    + Research parts through parts manuals, OEM, and vendor interaction.

    + Perform clerical duties as required.

    + Loading and unloading of parts and supplies from company, vendor, or delivery vehicles.

    + Operate company vehicle to pick up and deliver parts and supplies as needed.

    + Purchase and track all maintenance parts, goods and services as directed.

    + All other job-related duties as assigned.

    WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

    + Work environment will mostly be indoors in the shop. May be outdoors at times or on the road

    + Noise level is usually moderate.

    MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS** **:

    + Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.

    + Spanish language skills a plus

    + Basic knowledge of truck components in order to process parts inventory & order records.
