The Privacy department within Disney Legal and Global Affairs is responsible for overseeing compliance with legal requirements and corporate policy related to the governance of personal information collected from consumers and employees. The Privacy Legal Data Governance team is charged with documenting and auditing TWDC business teams’ compliance with privacy laws and regulations around the world, including specific mandates from relevant regulatory authorities. This individual will report directly to the Executive Director, Data Governance and Consumer Experience. This individual will set the strategy for designing and automating the business processes to support these legal obligations and will work with partners across the business segments to implement and audit those processes. This individual will also implement training for employees across the organization responsible for uploading content to YouTube. Finally, this individual will also liaise with lawyers on the Privacy team to ensure that regulatory requirements are documented and implemented, as well as to address escalations related to the compliance directives.
What You Will Do:
+ Support and coordinate creation, rollout, and ongoing operation of TWDC-wide governance and compliance program for TWDC content on certain social media platforms
+ Provide initial audience classification determination for classification of TWDC content on certain social media platforms
+ Conduct pre-upload review and/or auditing of TWDC content on certain social media platforms
+ Provide regular training for all teams who develop and post content on certain social media platforms, and document results of training
+ Establish documentation requirements and system of record for teams subject to compliance program requirements
+ Audit all TWDC social media presence on periodic basis, communicate findings to teams
+ Conduct ongoing assessments of compliance program and draft regulatory compliance reports
Required Qualifications & Skills:
+ Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in data privacy and project management within the digital media space.
+ Strong understanding of privacy compliance and business process requirements.
+ Ability to identify and analyze complex issues and devise creative solutions and strategies for resolution.
+ Attention to detail.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Strong work ethic and commitment to professionalism.
+ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage teams, provide training and feedback, and work collaboratively with team members and business and technical stakeholders
+ Willingness to take “ownership” of projects and think proactively.
+ Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
+ Ability to handle a high volume of work, prioritize appropriately, and work independently with minimal supervision.
+ Superior organizational and managerial skills with the ability to multi-task, and prioritize workload efficiently and effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience in data privacy compliance
+ Degree in technical field such as engineering or management information systems
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $165,700 to $202,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
