GENERAL DESCRIPTION OR PURPOSE OF JOB:
This role is responsible for supporting the Accounting, Finance and Production departments with financial reporting, forecasting/planning, and production cost and scheduling analysis. This includes monthly variance analysis of production spending, weekly and monthly metric reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and assisting with development of forecasts and annual plans. The role is also a key partner to the Director of Plant Operations with production analysis and modeling, including capacity and production scheduling to support efficient plant operations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS: Note that (i) computer literacy and working-level skill with the basic MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer), (ii) good verbal and written communication skills, (iii) good interpersonal skills, and (iv) the ability to work well both individually and in a team environment are default requirements for all Jostens exempt and salaried nonexempt employees.
Required:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
+ 5+ years’ related experience
+ Experience in manufacturing and production costing and modeling
+ High Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access and other financial modeling tools
+ Ability to plan, organize and see projects to completion while managing deadlines
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with all levels in the organization
+ Time management/organization skills – the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks
Preferred:
+ CPA or CMA certification
Typical/expected % of overnight travel: minimal to none
CONTACTS AND COMMUNICATIONS: Internal: Direct contact with internal clients at all organizational levels; maintains communication with management and other department personnel to effectively execute programs and projects
External: Potential for contact with vendors and suppliers
