    Role Overview

     

    The Senior Director of Business Proposals will lead and manage the entire Business Proposals team at Brightstar. This pivotal role involves coordinating and overseeing the creation of compelling and winning proposals for our B2B lottery industry customers. The successful candidate will ensure the delivery of fully compliant responses to customers by deadlines, focusing on high-quality proposals delivered on time and within budget. This role reports to the SVP of Lottery Marketing, Products & Sales Development and is based in Providence, RI, with a hybrid working environment.

    Responsibilities

    + **Leadership:** Lead a diverse team of writers, editors, bid managers, graphic designers, and content creators. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement. Provide thought leadership internally and companywide on Business Proposal best practices and innovations through involvement in industry organizations and events.

    + **Stakeholder Management:** Build collaborative relationships with all stakeholders in the end-to-end proposal process, including Senior Staff, Sales (RVPs, General Managers), Technology, Product Management, Marketing, Business Evaluation, Legal, Finance, Capture Management, and others. Ensure alignment of goals, overall bid strategy, timelines, and expectations.

    + **Bid Management:** Coordinate with the Bid Management team to lead each bid or proposal effectively. Ensure that all bids are managed within the agreed timelines and budgets. Provide support and management for post-submission activities or follow-up by project.

    + **Content Creation:** Support the content creators in the content development planning processes to maintain consistency and continuity across each proposal, ensuring the development of engaging and persuasive content.

    + **Writing & Editing:** Support the writers to ensure that all proposal content is compelling, clear, accurate, and concise. Facilitate relationship development with capture management and relevant product and technology groups to improve product knowledge and develop customer-centric writing.

    + **Graphic Design:** Support the designers to ensure that all proposals are visually appealing and effectively communicate our offerings.

    + **Publishing:** Support the production team to ensure that all proposals are published in the required formats and cataloged appropriately.

    + **Continuous Improvement:** Implement best practices in proposal management. Continually seek to improve processes and tools associated with proposal development **.**

    Qualifications

    + Membership in APMP (preferred)

    + Knowledge of the lottery industry (preferred)

    + Proven experience in a leadership role within a proposal team or related field

    + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field

    + Understanding of technology and its role in process improvement

    Key Skills

    + Detailed knowledge of Brightstar and industry best practices for proposal development, including knowledge of all phases of proposal development

    + Ability to develop strong personal relationships and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and internal customers

    + Highly organized with attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to multitask

    + Self-motivated with the ability to build and appropriately manage internal business relationships

    At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $154,258 - $250,000. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

     

    Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance. Note: programs are subject to eligibility requirements.
