    HR Analyst, (Senior and Staff Levels)

    SUMMARY

    Supports HR Managers, Supervisors, and Staff in the areas of Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, and HRIS. Promotes positive customer service through prompt, accurate and courteous responses to customer needs both in person and by telephone. Performs a variety of technical and office support duties including scheduling travel, maintaining HR personnel files, processing invoices for payment and ordering supplies. Answers questions regarding compensation and benefits.

    EDUCATION

    + High School/GED or equivalent (Required)

    + Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related discipline (Preferred)

    EXPERIENCE

    + SENIOR : 5 years of professional experience in business/office environments (Required)

    5 years direct Human Resources experience (Preferred)

    + STAFF: 8 years of professional experience in business/office environments (Required)

    8 years direct Human Resources experience (Preferred)

    LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS

    + Human Resources Certification (Preferred).

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Assists with new hire on-boarding activities including new employee orientation, preparation of new hire packets, and LAN account setup.

    + Schedules and assists in the administration of initial benefits/forms enrollment meeting.

    + Schedules meetings with Union officials for all new bargaining unit employees.

    + Assists in recruiting activities including coordination of job requisitions, candidate screening, interviews, job offers, backgrounds, relocation, etc.

    + Assists with administration of employee service and recognition awards program.

    + Interfaces with employees to resolve employee questions or concerns regarding benefits, compensation, and other HR matters.

    + Creates requisitions for HR contract renewals and newly formed contracts.

    + Assist leaders and employees with questions regarding the Development & Performance Management database.

    + Provides support for internal/external audits.

    + Administers volunteer & academic scholarship payments.

    + Administers processing of I-9 documents and record keeping.

    + Completes employment verifications received on current and previous employees.

    + Prepares FMLA letters in conjunction with Health Services.

    + Administers and tracks spreadsheet for retirements and resignations.

    + Performs a variety of technical and office support duties including photocopying, scheduling travel, maintaining HR personnel files, processing invoices, and ordering supplies.

    SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND QUALIFICATIONS

    + Ability to keyboard and perform general office skills. Proficiency in current station software. Ability to use basic mathematics for budget and invoice processing. Ability to analyze documents for content, completeness, and accuracy.

    + Ability to effectively handle multiple assignments at the same time. Good time management skills. Ability to organize own work, coordinate projects, set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up on assignments with a minimum of direction.

    + Ability to deal with frequent interruption. Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.

    + Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

    + Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees. Ability to write clear and concise reports and correspondence. Ability to relay information accurately through phone conversations, messages, emails, and other forms of communication.

    + Knowledge of company policies and procedures.

    OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Accept ERO position as needed.

    + Accept outage position as needed.

    + Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access.

    + Successfully complete General Employee Training (GET) as required for position .

    ENVIRONMENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    + Environmental and physical requirements are subject to crouching, stooping, bending, twisting and/or lifting up to 30 pounds; ascending/descending stairs; sitting for extended periods of time; and spending considerable time in front of computer monitors.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    + Overtime and alternate work schedules as needed.

    + Subject to callouts twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week.

    + Travel may be required.

    + May be required to carry a phone.

    WORK LOCATION

    + Hybrid/Remote – Due to the nature of the work, this position provides the ability for a hybrid work schedule between Site and an alternate work location. Alternate work locations require adequate technology and that a solid ergonomic setup is present. Note: Work schedules are contingent on business need.
