2026 Internship \- Automation & Robotics Engineer

JOB SUMMARY :

To s upport all new automation manufacturing technology projects, automation continuo us improvement efforts, and implement best automation methods and standardization processes \.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

C ollaborates with Engineering and Tool Engineering on automation solutions and build\-plan methodology for new programs; G ives input/feedback on associated design criteriaIdentifies, justifies, and implements new technology and manufacturing techniques to improve safety/ergonomics, reduce manufacturing cost \(labor, material, inventory, scrap\), and improve product/process qualityDesign, build, implement and provide production support for all automation systems used in manufacturingSupports cross\-functional teams in the development and implementation of automated systems in support of manufacturingProvide process capability specifications for new technologyAnalyzes/i nterprets engineering drawing, manufacturing operation sequence, tooling function, and process specifications and issues engineering change requests \(ECR\) to improve or eliminate manufacturing issues in sustaining production operations as related to automation

Qualifications

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :

Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering , Mechatronics, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Manufacturing Technology Engineering, or other relative technical field

QUALIFICAT I ONS :

Professional and diplomatic demeanorStrong sense of accountability and integrityExcellent verbal and written communication skillsTime management skills to support multiple concurrent projectsAbility to deal with change and work in a dynamic environmentProficient in use of standard Microsoft Office programs

Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U\.S\. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F\-1 students and J\-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship\.

Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late\-May to early\-August lasting 10 weeks\.Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager\.
