Warehouse/Production - Temporary to Full-Time

This role has the opportunity of becoming a full-time position after a probationary period.
Job Summary
Processes incoming and outgoing bolt shipments. This includes pulling and packing orders, operating a forklift, saw cutting equipment, or other bolt manufacturing equipment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
+ Pulls, packs and ships bolt orders as requested by customer.
+ Processes any incoming freight including inbound transfers, UPS, FedEx, or other.
+ Restocks products in designated locations and shelving.
+ Assists in maintains daily inventory.
+ Assembles boxes for shipments and monitors daily any boxes staged and due but not shipped.
+ Loads all trucks with out-going freight.
+ Assists in maintaining the Will Call area organized.
+ Will participate in cross training for any needed warehouse operations.
+ Monitors propane tank levels to ensure adequate capacity is maintained, and coordinates with the supervisor to schedule refills as needed.
+ Performs visual inspections to assess product quality prior to packaging, and uses appropriate measuring tools to verify correct length, diameter, and material specifications before final packing.
+ Palletize orders when required.
+ Provides updates to management of any shortages that may cause delays.
+ Marks each line item with box # and ensure line item corresponds to marking on the box or boxes.
+ May use a forklift to organize and store products.
+ May operate a bolt saw machine to cut material to correct length.
+ Maintain a neat clean work environment; pick up any box packing and tear off box flaps as you go.
+ May operate a variety of warehouse machines and tools to prepare material and finished products.
+ May perform other tasks as required to meet on-time delivery of customer orders which may include any other warehouse function not listed above.
Job Specifications
Skills
+ Ability to understand verbal and written instructions/documents.
+ Basic computer capabilities with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
+ Ability to work with a team.
+ Ability to learn how to properly operate a bolt saw machine.
+ Ability to operate a forklift
+ Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) Preferred.
Education
+ Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience
+ Preferred: 1 year of previous warehouse or shipping experience.
+ Preferred: 1 year of previous experience driving a forklift.
+ Preferred: 1 year of previous experience operating a bolt saw or other types of warehouse machines.
Physical Requirements
+ Ability to lift, climb, bend, stoop, push/pull.
+ Continuous standing and/or walking.
+ Works frequently with weight of 10 – 50 lbs. and must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. independently.
+ Ability to work in an ever-changing work environment including but not limited to cold, hot, and/or dusty environment, as well as noisy conditions.
Compensation & Benefits
+ Temporary positions are not benefits eligible. This position has the opportunity to become a full-time position which will then grant access to company benefits.
+ Hourly rate will be based on skills and previous warehouse, forklift or machine operating experience within the range of: $15.00 - $17.00/per hour.
