    **Schedule:** Full Time

    **Shift** : Day, Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm

    **Location:** 501 Redmond Road, Rome, GA 30165

    **The community you'll be caring for:** AdventHealth Redmond

    **The role you'll contribute:** Responsible for ensuring patients are appropriately registered for all service lines. This position performs eligibility verification, obtains pre-certifications and authorizations, makes financial arrangements, requests and receives payments for services, performs cashiering functions, and clears registration errors. This role works on complex accounts and manages escalations from Consumer Access Specialists. This position assists with departmental training and quality audits. Additionally, this role maintains a close working relationship with clinical partners to ensure continual open communication between clinical, ancillary, and consumer access departments.

    The value you'll bring to the team:

    + Accountable for maintaining a working relationship with clinical partners to ensure open communications between clinical, ancillary, and consumer access departments, which enhances the patient experience

    + Provides timely and continual coverage of assigned work area in order to offer prompt patient service and availability for all clinical partner registration needs. Arranges relief coverage during extended time away from assigned registration area.

    + Contacts insurance companies by phone, fax, online portal, and other resources to obtain and verify insurance eligibility and benefits and determine extent of coverage within established timeframe before scheduled appointments and during or after care for unscheduled patients.

    + Registers patients for all services by obtaining critical demographic elements and ensuring accuracy.

    + Performs Medicare compliance reviews, eligibility checks, and completes Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaires.

    Qualifications

    The expertise and experience you'll need to succeed:

    + High School Grad or Equivalent Required

    + 1 Year of Revenue Cycle Experience Required

    + 1 Year of Customer Service Experience Required

    + Associate in business, education, Health Services Administration, or related field Preferred

    + 2 Years of Direct Patient Access Experience Preferred

    + Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) Preferred

    + Certified Revenue Cycle Rep (CRCR) Preferred
