Purpose:
The Manager of Internal Sales is responsible for leading and developing a team of Internal Wholesalers within the Broker Dealer distribution channel. This role oversees daily sales activities, drives business growth, and ensures alignment with overall distribution strategies. The Manager provides coaching, performance management, and strategic direction to enhance sales effectiveness, strengthen advisor relationships, and achieve sales targets.
Accountabilities:
+ Helps increase sales through driving productivity within the team.
+ Manages the service standards/performance metrics for the team.
+ Participates in and/or manages special projects by developing and implementing solutions which impact the business unit or the department.
+ Is a key partner with the Divisional Vice President, Broker Dealer Channel in ensuring internal and external wholesaler partnerships are working together to grow their territories.
+ Works with Vice President, Internal Sales and Divisional Vice President, Broker Dealer channel to develop strategy around channel growth.
+ Participates in managing the operational aspects of a team of Internal Wholesalers and to ensure service standards are being met. Including: Overseeing team activities, assigning responsibilities / call lists / call campaigns, monitoring call volumes, workflows & operational processes, developing individual / team metrics reports, tracking results of call campaigns, reporting phone statistics, monitoring recorded phone calls for quality aspects and accuracy of information, 1X1 call quality coaching and performance reviews.
+ Partners with sales leaders to define clear expectations of the team to assist in the growth of the channel.
+ Assists in the handling of exceptions, complicated technical or complaint cases, while weighing company philosophy, compliance, business risks, tax and legal ramifications and administrative costs.
+ Builds and maintains strong working relationships with advisors, back-office staff, key persons at Broker Dealers and other internal departments.
+ Creates and maintains a strong culture through employee engagement and development.
Qualifications and Experience:
+ 7+ years' financial services industry sales experience with annuity products preferred. Experience with financial institutions strongly preferred.
+ 4+ years of prior internal wholesaler/sales desk experience.
+ Must have FINRA Licensing (Series 6)
+ Strong knowledge of Life Insurance and Annuity products as well as other retirement/financial services industry products.
+ Continuing education preferred (LOMA, sales classes & seminars, etc.)
+ Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
+ Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
