    Description

    **Tradesmen International** is immediately hiring skilled **Journeyman HVAC Technicians** for projects located in the **Tacoma, WA area** . This is a full time opportunity, and the pay rate is **$40-42/hour** based on experience plus **$125/day per diem** for Travelers 60+ miles from the job site.     Job Scope:

    + Install new HVAC systems, including ductwork, wiring, piping, and thermostats

    + Interpret blueprints, specifications, and building codes to determine optimal system layout

    + Set up and connect HVAC equipment such as furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, chillers, boilers, and ventilation systems

    + Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC systems and components

    + Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using tools and meters

    + Repair or replace defective parts such as motors, bearings, valves, belts, and sensors

    + Charge systems with refrigerants and verify proper operation

    + Test system performance using specialized equipment and ensure systems meet specifications

    + Follow local HVAC codes, OSHA standards, and company safety policies

    + Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and inventory logs

    + Collaborate with engineers, apprentices, and subcontractors on larger projects

    + Communicate effectively with clients or building managers regarding system status, repair options, and maintenance plans

    + Provide training or instructions to users on system operation if needed

    Requirements

    + HVAC Journeyman certification

    + EPA Section 608 Certification (Type I, II, or Universal)

    + Minimum 4 years of HVAC installation, maintenance, or repair experience

    + Strong understanding of HVAC electrical and mechanical systems, controls, and safety procedures

    + Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

    + Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment

    + Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and operate in various weather conditions
