SUMMARY: Title and responsibilities will be determined in a progressive manner based on skill and expertise within the same job group. Responsible for providing building equipment maintenance and repair. Will maintain environmental conditions at facility as well as performing light construction activities as required. Duties also include responsibility for the safety of the equipment, in that all applicable local, state, and federal guidelines are met. Actively supports the Company’s vision and goals. Embraces and executes the Company Core Values.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Includes the following; other duties will be assigned in a progressive manner.
• Maintain facility and equipment in working conditions to acceptable levels of operating accuracy, safety and cleanliness.
• Respond to building and equipment emergencies/outages and perform quality checks.
• Communicate and facilitate projects with outside vendors/contractors (i.e. HVAC service, electrical, construction, landscape, etc.)
• Take an active role in all lean initiatives as it relates to maintenance.
• Achieves positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost and team member relations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Assists with maintaining the facility and equipment in working conditions to acceptable levels of operating accuracy, safety and cleanliness.
• Ability to read and interpret basic electrical, electronic, hydraulic, plumbing and pneumatic schematics.
• Learning on-the-job to troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, plumbing and pneumatic systems.
• Assists in managing, cleaning, weighing and maintaining the hazardous waste materials.
• Maintain the buildings cleanliness following all safety procedures.
• Active participation in 5S, lean initiatives, continuous improvement, ISO and any other program deemed necessary by management.
• Ability to perform simple maintenance tasks without direct supervision.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.
QUALITY RESPONSIBILITIES: In daily work, a team member is responsible for maintaining or exceed the degree of excellence requested by the internal and external customers of this department. This includes following established policies, following ISO 9001 & 14001 policies, business practices, and work instructions, using problem solving techniques to solve root causes of problems, and viewing quality as customer satisfaction. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Experience in field / related field, and/or a combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Driver’s License.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively with other employees and vendors.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of electricity, electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and general building maintenance (structural, plumbing and carpentry). Ability to understand and troubleshoot equipment, machinery and controls. Work includes preventative maintenance and repair. Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
