Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused NDT Etch Inspector to join our team. The Etch Inspector is responsible for performing Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections using etching processes to detect surface anomalies, material defects, and structural irregularities in accordance with industry standards, customer requirements, and company procedures.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:
+ Process customer product through the Chemical Etch line including:
+ Cleaning parts with acetone
+ Load and unload parts into etching baskets
+ Use overhead cranes to immerse parts in cleaning solution tanks
+ Use overhead cranes to immerse parts in chemical etch solutions
+ Assist certified inspectors with inspecting parts
+ Properly handle customer materials using pallet jacks and overhead cranes
+ Read and interpret inspection procedures
+ Use PC based computers to retrieve inspection information, and document Work Order information
+ Fill out inspection reports
+ Perform minor preventive maintenance tasks as directed
+ Maintain a clean, organized, safe work station at all times
+ Lift a minimum of 25 pounds
+ Stand for one or more hours at a time
+ Reliably report to their work stations on time as scheduled
+ Trainees will be asked to perform other ancillary tasks as directed
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
+ High School diploma or GED or equivalent
+ Previous training or experience in non-destructive testing is preferred
