    Sr Analyst Export Intl Transportation

     

    This individual monitors logistics, movements, and acts as an escalation contact for ocean and air movements in and out of the North America region for the Pharmaceutical (PH) and Consumer Health (CH) divisions to ensure seamless execution to foster the timely and compliant international delivery of product. Coordinates all operational activities related to the air and ocean business. Collaborates with global air and ocean coordinators and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement from an operational perspective.

    YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Proactive monitoring of shipments: Monitor movements in and out of the North America region for end to end oversight. Review and assess 4PL performance on a regional level.

    + Coordination and alignment with internal and external stakeholders:

    + Coordinate all operational related air & ocean transport topics with the air & ocean operators in EMEA, APAC, and LATAM, Bayer internal stakeholders within NA (e.g. Supply Chain Management) and the nominated 4PL.

    + Trouble shooting, issue escalation and resolution: Act as escalation point for Bayer internal functions and 4PL for major and minor regional incidents in transport handling, planning, and execution.

    + Manage resolution of deviations by engaging the respective stakeholders and if required, the Global Air / Ocean Coordinator. Ensure communication with all relevant stakeholders.

    + Claims handling: Based on shipment monitoring, report deviations to the process, raise complaints, and initiate Bayer internal claims handling as well as drive coordination with the 4PL.

    + Invoice verification: Verification and approval of incoming 4PL invoices including identification of deviations and respective issue resolution with the involved stakeholders (4PL, Finance, etc.).

    + Project support: Provide operational insights and experience for transport related projects on a regional level (such as the set-up of new transportation lanes, CMOs, etc).

    + Drive continuous improvement measures whenever possible.

    WHO YOU ARE

    Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

    Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree with a minimun of 4 years’ experience or Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the logistics industry or as a shipper in the pharmaceutical, consumer health, or FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) industry

    + Experience with transport disposition; understanding of logistics and operational processes for air & ocean in the pharmaceutical industry and transport and warehousing regulations

    + Experience with MS Office, SAP R/3 and BI solutions; solution and standard driven mindset with ‘can do’ attitude

    + Collaborative working style and strong organizational skills as well as people-oriented

    + Competencies: Coordination & Facilitation, Collaboration, Air & Ocean

    + Operational Know-How, Problem Solver, Sense of Urgency

     

    Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $67,148.32 - $100,722.48. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
