    Position Purpose:

    The Director – Global Corporate Accounts is the relationship owner working directly with our largest multi-national accounts to grow revenue and profits through the sale of personal care amenities to the hospitality industry. The Director – Global Corporate Accounts serves as champion for their customers within Gilchrist & Soames and the broader Guest Worldwide organization, works with other hospitality distributors and works with all relevant customer departments, global regions and GPO (if applicable) to achieve customer objectives for personal care amenities.

     

    This specific Director oversees major client’s 31 global chains, providing support, business reviews, maintaining ongoing contracts and will take lead sales position overseeing another major client, including all ongoing contracts, RFP’s, and distributor relationships. This Director will also be accountable for new business development with other North America HQ based corporate hotel chains.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    + Account Management of major client’s amenity business, including strategic relationships within brand, operations and purchasing teams. Ongoing high-level reporting, monthly dashboards on all global amenity business. $20 million plus in US revenue responsibility & longer term all G&S revenue accountability for international sales for the customer upon project alphabet implementation.

    + Manage internal and external teams including product development, shared service with forecasting, new launches, pricing and product support. Lead role with all authorized distributors to provide, track and maintain brand mandated programs.

    + Global Account lead and sales support for EMEA & Asia regions. Engage all key internal and customer personnel on global teams to establish market knowledge, brand mandated programs, sales training, sales support, lead on International RFQ’s. Negotiate terms for centralized global contract with input from the regions. Customer views this role as their global quarterback.

    + Prospect new business development of assigned North America based corporate chains as well as groups within other major client currently not buying from Gilchrist & Soames by use of leads from Guest Supply. Leverage client’s relationship, internal and customer referrals, and other industry sources to win new business, including growth within major client’s independent sales and portfolio of brands for whom we do not manufacture amenities today.

    Education:

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales or Marketing

    Experience:

    + 10 years sales experience & revenue contribution - in hospitality or managing enterprise corporate accounts

    Skills:

    + International Business Savvy - Strong understanding of international business including distribution, tariffs, foreign policies and laws, exchange rates, and customs. Demonstrated experience with international travel and international business.

    + Project Management - A mastery of organizational and project management skills, including the ability to plan, prioritize and execute multiple initiatives/deadlines autonomously and shift priorities as necessary. Able to manage large, complex projects. Uses time effectively

    + Customer Service – Respond promptly to requests for service and assistance as needed. Follow up as needed.

    + Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Gathers and analyzes information skillfully. Develops alternative solutions.

    + Judgment - Displays willingness to make decisions. Exhibits sound and accurate judgment. Makes timely decisions.

    + Financially Minded - Strong understanding of financial concepts including but not limited to customer P&Ls, program P&Ls, pricing and forecasting

    + Analytical – Able to deconstruct databases, decipher data sets, and reassemble as needed in presentable reports highlighting and summarizing findings in executive summaries
