Job Summary:
We are seeking an innovative and talented Systems Engineer to provide engineering support to a team responsible for maintaining and operating a high priority operational system at a high level of availability. The candidate must have the ability to be a technically minded problem-solver, be able to focus on the task at hand, follow through on the prescribed plan, and the ability to be flexible and think under pressure. The ideal candidate would be highly motivated and have a strong desire to learn and have a team player attitude.
Top Secret/ SCI with Counterintelligence Polygraph is required prior to start. This process can take up to 15 months for issuance so Fall 2026 start is expected.
This position is an onsite role – Aurora, CO
Not Relocation Eligible – Relocation assistance not available.
What You Will Do:
+ Shadow engineers to learn the aspects of various teams.
+ Evaluate system architecture and performance in context of mission requirements.
+ Conduct trade studies, risk assessments, and mission impact analyses.
+ Support modeling and simulation to validate mission effectiveness and system performance.
+ Collaborate with system engineers and program managers.
+ Provide technical input during design reviews.
+ Support integration and testing activities to ensure mission objectives are met.
+ Contribute to the development of mission threads, use cases, and test scenarios.
+ Support operations planning and post-mission analysis if applicable.
+ Ensure compliance with systems engineering standards and mission assurance guidelines
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) degree
+ This position requires 12 months or less of professional experience (excluding internships)
+ Experience with software skills/Web development skills (PERL, JAVA, HTML/XML, C++, SQL, Wiki, JavaScript, MySQL, Linux).
+ An active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
+ Experience with Software Development processes.
+ System Testing and diagnostic experience.
+ Understanding of baseline development and delivery process.
+ Experience involving customer engagement and reporting.

We Are RTX
The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
