Job Summary
Provides leadership and direction to plant maintenance department. Responsible to assist in eliminating all causes of failure and ensure full useful life in coordination with daily maintenance completed by operating personnel. Assists in scheduling repair, maintenance, and installation to ensure continuous production operations. Key player in storeroom budgets. Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
Position Responsibilities
Responsible for plant parts inventory including facilities, utilities, electrical and operations to reduce downtime and assure peak plant efficiencies. Will assist in capital engineering design and projects to completion and work with appropriate vendors. This position will also have direct responsibility for the MRO Planners, Buyers and Receivers and their performance, maintaining a 96% or better on cycle counts.
Promote safety throughout the entire maintenance and production organization.
Responsible for all MRO department metrics along with layout optimization and digital tracking enhancements.
Team member and actively involved all activities for Planned Maintenance Pillar.
Key member in Maintenance supervision team assisting in trouble calls and weekend maintenance supervision.
Operates within established maintenance operating budget and monitor departmental expenditures.
Assists with planning and cost estimates for annual and longer-term capital budgets.
Key player in purchasing needed materials and oversight of Vendor Management process.
Responsible for executing the capital plan as it relates to parts and services to include all engineering design and project management, working with both internal and external resources.
Be acquainted with local/state/federal environmental regulations and ensure compliance with all operational permits. Assists aspects of building operations including maintenance, repairs, and renovations.
Supervise the completion of work through review of reports, frequent site inspections and assisting where needed in conferences with operations and vendors regarding electrical & other processing equipment.
Utilize SAP to track and monitor inventory, slow moving and obsolete parts. Ensure reliability of storeroom and parts.
Position Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in maintenance field or related technical field preferred however proven leadership in maintenance, supervision, planning and MRO is key to the position.
Minimum five years’ experience in food plant maintenance is preferred.
Must be computer literate; experienced in using computer software applications such as CAD, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project Management, etc.
Understanding of USDA and FDA manufacturing facilities
Prior experience using production environment SAP preferred.
Basic accounting knowledge preferred.
Broad knowledge & experience budgeting, parts allocation, ordering and receiving equipment.
Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with superb time management and project scheduling skills.
Must have a proven track record of successfully managing the storeroom along with working on hard to acquire/timely replacement of parts in a 24/7 Facility
Excellent administrative and follow up skills to achieve successful maintenance and repair programs.
Ability to lead teams and achieve results through resources.
Physical Requirements
The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. stairs along with roof access. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee will be exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot too cold in temperature. Compensation:
Pay Range:$63,000-$93,000
_The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees._
