Position: Patient Care Associate
Department: Outpatient Heart Failure Clinic
Shift: 8:00 am-4:30 pm, Days PRN/Support

Summary of Position
A Patient Care Associate / Certified Medical Assistant for the Premier Physician Network will typically see upwards of 30 patients per day and is responsible for general clinical and procedural patient care, under the supervision of the Practice Manager and/or center Physicians/Providers.
Our Certified Medical Assistants / Patient Care Associates are an integral part of our offices and are relied upon to assist in delivering the very best in Patient Experience. Every patient, every time.
Nature and Scope
Independently performed procedures may include, but is not limited to, rooming patients and collecting vitals, pulmonary function tests, administration of injections, EKGs, breathing treatments, lab testing, dressing changes, wound cleaning, hearing and vision tests, and other duties as assigned. Attention to detail and excellent documentation skills will be an ongoing expectation.
**Education:** You'll need a high school diploma or GED.
Qualified applicants must be a Certified Medical Assistant and will have graduated from a recognized Medical Assistant program.
Prior experience in an ambulatory health care facility is preferred
Ability to learn related center tasks and be of assistance to management and physicians.
CPR certified within the first 3 months of employment.
Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
Familiarity with the EPIC EMR is strongly preferred.
Or
+ **Finished STNA, CNA, or Patient Care Technician/Assistant training.**
+ **Helped care for patients in the past 5 years** (like taking their temperature, bathing them, or helping them use the restroom)
+ **Currently in nursing school** and have finished clinical rotation.
Other Skills:
+ You can handle doing many things simultaneously, even when people interrupt you, and still be nice.
+ You know how to use a computer a little.
+ Thorough understanding of HIPAA law.
+ Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service standards.
+ You're good at organizing things.
+ You can talk and listen well to others.
