What You’ll Do
As a Design Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:
+ Developing and modeling boat systems and components using 2D and 3D CAD tools (Rhino)
+ Collaborating with suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and performance standards
+ Supporting manufacturing integration and continuous improvement initiatives
+ Creating engineering drawings, documentation, and change notices (ECNs)
+ Validating designs through hands-on fabrication and testing
+ Ensuring compliance with NMMA, ABYC, and other regulatory standards
What You Bring
+ Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, or related field preferred
+ 2+ years of relevant experience in marine or mechanical design
+ Proficiency in Rhino for 2D/3D modeling and documentation or similar software
+ Hands-on fabrication skills and a problem-solving mindset
+ NMMA Compliance Specialist and ABYC Standards Certifications (or willingness to obtain)
+ Familiarity with Epicor, Microsoft Office Suite, and CNC file development (Sigmanest)
+ Strong communication and teamwork skills
+ Willingness to travel (minimum 10%)
