Job Description
The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) is the nation’s oldest and largest public housing authority with more than 177,000 apartments, and responsibility for administering a citywide Section 8 leased housing program that serves over 200,000 additional tenants. Under the direction of the Deputy Chief of Staff, the Senior Policy Analyst will work on high-priority projects and issues that come through the Office of the CEO. The Senior Policy Analyst will be assigned a broad portfolio of topic areas of various scopes and durations, and support the overall functions of the Office of the CEO and the organization as a whole. The Senior Policy Analyst will assist the Deputy Chief of Staff in advancing priorities of the Office of the CEO and NYCHA in their assigned areas, which will include the planning and execution of the Authority’s strategic priorities, particularly related to future planning, inter-departmental implementation, and resource allocation.
The successful candidate will be able to manage or assist with projects and initiatives that are a priority for the Office of the CEO; liaise with all NYCHA departments; and coordinate and follow up on requests, projects and assignments. The Senior Policy Analyst will be able to self-direct projects and workstreams, with minimal oversight from the Deputy Chief of Staff. The Senior Policy Analyst will also support the overall functions of the Office of the Chief Executive Officer (OCEO), by developing and executing policies and processes that serve the OCEO team and the Authority as a whole. The primary responsibilities of the Senior Policy Analyst include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Create materials for both internal and external presentations and meetings;
- Facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders;
- Lead the briefing process for the CEO’s external events and meetings;
- Devise, launch, manage and track complex projects across multiple internal teams and stakeholders;
- Analyze, interpret and display data;
- Brief the Deputy Chief of Staff, Chief of Staff, and CEO;
- Act as liaison between the Office of the CEO and other NYCHA departments;
- Analyze background and policy and draft memos with policy recommendations;
- Develop process documentation and guidance for the Office of the CEO and NYCHA; and
- Meet with NYCHA residents.

Qualifications
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.

Salary Min: $ 62,868.00
Salary Max: $ 95,000.00
