If you are a Mechanical Engineering student looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! We're looking to add a **Mechanical Design Engineering Intern** to our **Shakopee or Eden Prairie, MN** locations. You will be responsible for designing, testing, and maintaining instrumentation.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

+ Use analytical skills, reasoning, and engineering judgment to develop new and innovative products and technologies

+ Design components including injection molded plastics, die and investment castings, stampings, machined parts, etc.

+ Collaborate with global, cross-functional project teams to ensure new designs meet internal requirements and industry standards

+ Support prototype construction, laboratory testing, and agency testing during the product design cycle

+ Apply sound engineering practices to solve quality issues

+ Provide continuation engineering support for existing products

+ Interact with software, electrical, manufacturing, marketing, supply chain, sales, and customers on technical matters

+ Identify and implement product and process cost reductions and improvements

For This Role, You Will Need:

+ Pursuing a Bachelor's in Engineering or Science from an Engineering School (First-year, Sophomore, & Junior students will be considered)

+ Zero (0) years of related experience

+ Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person at a Twin Cities location (Shakopee, Chanhassen, or Eden Prairie, MN)

+ Legal authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

+ GPA of 3.0 or above

+ Prior internship experience

Hourly Pay Rate: $25.00 - $27.00
