Description

+ Prepare and process customer artwork into final, press-ready files suitable for flexographic printing applications.

+ Execute color separations, apply appropriate trapping, and ensure print specifications match press and substrate capabilities.

+ Use Esko software (DeskPack, Automation Engine) to manipulate files, manage layouts, and automate workflows.

+ Utilize GMG ColorProof or equivalent GMG software to generate accurate digital proofs and simulate print output.

+ Create and review digital and hard-copy proofs to ensure accurate color representation and layout fidelity.

+ Communicate directly with customers via phone and email to confirm artwork details, resolve technical issues, and provide updates or guidance on prepress requirements.

+ Think outside the box to independently troubleshoot and resolve prepress workflow issues, conducting self‑reviews to catch and correct errors before production.

+ Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Graphics, Production) to ensure seamless handoff from design to production.

+ Conduct preflight checks to verify file integrity, color consistency, and compliance with production standards.

+ Maintain digital file organization, archival, and quality control documentation.

Preferred:

+ Experience in flexible packaging, labels, or other packaging-related print industries.

+ Familiarity with die line integration, imposition, and digital asset management systems.

+ Understanding of proofing equipment (e.g., Epson printers, X-Rite calibration tools).
