Newton Village, a Cassia community, is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Newton, you’ll deliver compassionate, high-quality care to residents, administer medications, and work closely with a dedicated team to ensure the best possible outcomes. Our ideal candidate is skilled, dependable and thrives in a collaborative environment, with a strong commitment to enriching the lives of older adults.

Position Type: Part-Time

Shifts Available: 10:00pm to 6:00am

Licensed Practical Nurse Responsibilities:

+ Display a courteous attitude and respect for all residents, families, and staff.

+ Administer medications and/or treatment in accordance with physician's orders and monitors for effectiveness/response.

+ Manage medications, supplies, and equipment including ordering, receiving, storing, and disposing of all items in accordance with policies and procedures.

+ Document resident care using computerized medication administration and charting software.

+ Notify Clinical Manager, attending physicians, and family members of significant changes in a resident's condition, and take follow-up action as necessary.

+ Performs additional duties as required.

Licensed Practical Nurse Qualifications:

+ Must have a current Iowa LPN license and be in good standing.

+ CPR certification or willing to obtain.

+ Experience in Long Term Care preferred.

+ Must have strong communication and organizational skills.

+ Self-starter with a desire to be a part of a team.
