    About the Analyst Training Program

     

    Upon joining Key, all Analysts participate in an enterprise-wide, multi-week training program. Following the successful completion of the program, Analysts join their assigned business groups full time. Program highlights include:

    About the Position

     

    KBCM Analysts impact our clients’ businesses through involvement in all facets of investment banking activities, including equity and debt offerings, valuations, private placements, mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and strategic advisory work. On a day-to-day basis our Analysts:

     

    + Actively contribute to each phase of the deal process with high-level transaction teams

    + Prepare financial models and valuations

    + Create business development pitchbooks, management, and board presentations

    + Conduct industry- and company-specific research

    + Work in partnership with senior bankers

    Required Qualifications:

    + Must have completed at least three years toward a four-year, undergraduate degree program with coursework in finance, economics or accounting with an anticipated graduation in or before June of 2026

    + Minimum 3.5 undergraduate GPA

    + Strong quantitative and critical thinking abilities

    + Demonstrated leadership and teamwork from past work experience and/or extracurricular activities

    + Highly motivated with a strong work ethic

    + Outstanding interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

    Debt Capital Markets

    Opportunities within Debt Capital Markets include: Banking Group Portfolio Managment and Loan Syndicate & Sales

    The Debt Capital Markets team structures, markets and executes debt financing transactions for corporate and sponsor (private equity) clients in a wide range of industries. Common financing scenarios include acquisitions, dividend recapitalizations, debt refinancing, leveraged buyouts and working capital facilities. The Debt Capital Markets team raises debt capital for clients primarily through the bank, institutional term loan, high yield and investment grade bond markets.

     

    Financial Services

     

    The Financial Services Group (FSG) provides a comprehensive suite of corporate and investment banking services to a broad base of blue-chip clients. FSG’s services include capital raising through both the debt and equity markets, treasury and enterprise commercial payments solutions, investment management and strategic advisory transactions. FSG serves publicly- and privately-owned companies operating in the Property & Casualty, Life & Annuity, and Health Insurance markets as well as public accounting firms, insurance broker-dealers, asset managers, specialty finance, consumer lending and more.

     

    Industrial

     

    Provides investment banking services targeting middle market industrial companies and industrial-focused financial sponsors. Service offering includes M&A advisory and capital markets capabilities ranging from public and private financing to equity issuance. The Industrial group is both deal origination and execution focused, presenting a great opportunity to engage in pitches and deal execution across a wide breadth of financial services.

     

    Public Finance

     

    Our Public Finance Group professionals advise, structure and execute financings for governmental issuers, non-profit entities (including those in the healthcare, development finance and higher education sectors, among others) and corporate, tax-exempt borrowers to deliver strategic solutions that help clients achieve their financial goals. The Public Finance Group operates out of thirteen regional offices across the country and has underwritten more than $65 billion in municipal bonds since 2015, with individual issues ranging from $250,000 to over $1 billion. KBCM has been committed to expanding its presence in the municipal finance industry, which is evidenced by its recent acquisition of Cain Brothers & Company, LLC (“Cain Brothers”) in October 2017. Cain Brothers is a pre-eminent healthcare-focused investment banking and public finance firm that specializes in healthcare providers, healthcare services, life sciences and medical technology.

    COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

    Compensation and Benefits

     

    During the initial training period, this position is eligible for a weekly salary range of $1,370 -$1,730 per week. Full-Time Analysts are eligible for overtime compensation during the initial training period which is paid in accordance with the Fluctuating Workweek Method. Following the training program, the base salary for this position range is $80,000 - $105,000.
