    Modification Technician

    About the role:

    WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Modification Technician to join our team in Duluth GA This role provides in-house modifications to electric motors.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    + Modify electric motors as per customer specification.

    + Deliver finished product to designated shipping area

    + Processing of completed production orders and quality inspection sheets in SAP daily.

    + Support the Mod Shop Lead in projects to achieve on time delivery goals.

    + Perform tasks in a safe environment while using all necessary PPE

    + Complete daily equipment operation checklists

    + Complete daily cleaning assignments (5S)

    Education:

    + High School Diploma or GED preferred.

    Knowledge / training:

    + Knowledge of low/med voltage AC motors preferred

    + Understand and follow safety procedures

    + Strong mechanical assembly experience

    + Ability to understand and follow written procedures

    + Ability to use and operate manual tools and power tools in hands-on applications

    + Forklift operation experience preferred

    + Ability to use Microsoft Office software

    + SAP and other business software experience is preferred

    Experience:

    + 0 - 2 years of related experience.
