2nd or 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician-$28-30/hr

Job Description

As a 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician, you will perform essential duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment. Your responsibilities will include mechanical, plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines. You will also read and interpret drawings, schematics, and blueprints, perform regular preventive maintenance on machines and facilities, and use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment. Detecting faulty operations, defective material, and reporting any unusual situations to management will also be part of your role.

Responsibilities

+ Install and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment.

+ Perform mechanical, plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.

+ Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and blueprints.

+ Conduct regular preventive maintenance on machines and facilities.

+ Use hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.

+ Report faulty operations, defective materials, and unusual situations to management.

Essential Skills

+ Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic aptitude.

+ Ability to change out a motor (480V).

+ Experience in a highly automated, production environment.

+ Familiarity with conveyor systems, PLCs, automation, and Multivac machines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in the food and beverage industry.

+ Experience with Multivac machines.

Work Environment

The majority of the plant is climate-controlled, providing a clean environment. Shifts include: 3rd Shift (10:30pm-6:30am), 2nd Shift (2:00pm-11:00pm), and 1st Shift (6:00am-2:30pm), Monday through Friday. The role includes 5 hours of built-in overtime per week, with one day off during the week and every other weekend off. The 3rd shift is prioritized for less experienced hires to gain necessary skills.
