Job Title: Bagger Operator

Job Description

Bagger Operators are responsible for manually filling, sealing, labeling, loading, and stacking bags of processed crop seed onto pallets and transporting them via fork truck to the appropriate onsite locations. All employees are tasked with conducting general quality checks and ensuring a safe and clean work environment. We are currently looking for individuals interested in working 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday 11PM-7AM).

Responsibilities

+ Fill, seal, label, load, and stack bags of processed crop seed onto pallets.

+ Transport pallets using a fork truck to the designated onsite locations.

+ Conduct general quality checks to ensure product standards are met.

+ Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

+ Climb ladders up to 70-80 feet to assist with grain elevator operations, particularly during warmer months.

Essential Skills

+ Willingness to learn or previous experience operating a forklift (training and certification provided if needed).

+ Ability to lift 40-60 lbs independently throughout the shift.

+ Capability to climb up to 70 feet on ladders independently throughout the shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous fork truck experience is helpful.

+ Experience in manufacturing, distribution, automotive, or agricultural roles is preferred.

Work Environment

The facility is fully enclosed but not temperature-controlled, with some outdoor work required, especially during warmer months for grain elevator operations. All bagging and processing operations occur indoors. Large fans are available for summer, and the facility allows extra breaks in extreme conditions to ensure safety. Country music is often played throughout the work area. Shifts include 1st (7AM-3PM Mon-Fri), 2nd (3PM-11PM Mon-Fri), and 3rd (11PM-7AM Sun-Thurs). During the busy season (September-November), shifts may extend to 7-day work weeks, with some Saturdays required outside of this timeframe.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delphi, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
