Job Title:** **Welder/Fabricator
**Schedule:** Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
**Compensation:** $25.00–$27.00 per hour (based on experience)
**Employment Type:** Contract-to-Hire
**Location:** Saint Paul, Minnesota
Position Overview
We’re seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team in producing advanced surveillance technology that helps protect communities worldwide. In this hands-on role, you’ll fabricate and assemble metal components with precision and care, working from blueprints and technical drawings to meet high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
+ Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine project scope and materials.
+ Set up and operate welding equipment (TIG, MIG, MMA) to join metal components per specifications.
+ Measure, mark, and cut materials using appropriate tools and techniques.
+ Align and secure components using clamps, fixtures, and other devices.
+ Perform welding in multiple positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead) to ensure strong, durable welds.
+ Grind and finish welds to meet appearance and tolerance standards.
+ Inspect welds for defects and ensure compliance with quality requirements.
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and equipment.
+ Use hand and power tools to fabricate and assemble components.
+ Create and maintain production fixtures (jigs) to improve workflow.
+ Apply specialized skills to support broader company initiatives as directed by management.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
_Must-Haves:_
+ Proficiency in welding and metal fabrication.
+ Experience with TIG, MIG, and MMA welding processes.
+ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
+ Physical capability to lift and handle heavy materials.
+ Knowledge of welding equipment and techniques appropriate to different metals.
_Preferred:_
+ Certificate, diploma, or associate degree in welding, metalworking, or related field.
+ Welding certifications (CW, CWI, SCWI, CWENG, CRWT, CRAW, or similar).
+ Experience working with surveillance trailer systems.
+ Certifications in electrical systems, generator repair, or surveillance technologies.
+ Familiarity with renewable energy and advanced security systems used in surveillance trailers.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
