Quality Control Inspector
Job Description
The role involves completing inspection and testing tasks to ensure manufactured items meet company, industry quality standards, and contract specifications. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is necessary.
Pay: $18.45 - $20.64/hr
Shift: 1st Shift 6am to 2:30pm and must be open to OT up to 4:30pm (2hrs daily of OT, frequent Sat 6-8hrs)
Responsibilities
+ Inspect and measure materials, products, and work for conformance to specifications and standards throughout the manufacturing cycle.
+ Accurately use all standard measuring tools, including rulers, calipers, and force gauges.
+ Interpret blueprints, data, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, and measuring instruments required.
+ Record inspection data and quantities inspected on required inspection reports.
+ Collect and file inspection and test records in accordance with established record maintenance procedures.
+ Notify supervisors and other personnel of production quality problems and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.
+ Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products and recommend necessary corrective actions.
+ Complete all required record keeping, including time sheets and traceability forms.
+ Understand part numbers and revision levels.
+ Inspect customer repairs as needed.
+ Assist with the training of new inspectors as needed.
+ Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
+ Follow company rules and procedures.
Essential Skills
+ 1 to 2 years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing.
+ Ability to read and write English documents.
+ Proficiency in basic computations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
+ Capability to accurately use standard measuring tools.
+ Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and work specification sheets.
+ Attention to detail and ability to maintain high accuracy standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ ITAR compliance.
+ Experience with upholstery, sewing machines, apparel, upholstering, industrial sewing, and sewing.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.45 - $20.64/hr.
