Job Title: Field Technician

Job Description

As a Field Technician, you will adhere to all safety and operational policies, procedures, and directives from supervisors. You will maintain effective communication with your supervisor and/or dispatch to relay estimated times of arrival and completion of tasks. This role involves the installation of CO2 gas detection systems and associated cabling, as well as testing and troubleshooting network communication issues. Thorough inspections of cable lines to ensure system functionality and the ability to use a ladder to run cabling are required.

Responsibilities

+ Perform installations of CO2 gas detection systems and associated cabling.

+ Test and troubleshoot network communication issues.

+ Conduct thorough inspections of cable lines to ensure system functionality.

+ Pull, route, or label CAT5 or CAT6 cable.

+ Communicate and collaborate with other field service team members to resolve complex issues.

+ Provide high-quality service to all customers.

+ Verify inventory levels versus install schedule and communicate deficiencies with the supervisor.

+ Maintain proper operation of all equipment, tools, and ladders.

+ Ensure sufficient inventory levels of all parts.

+ Provide daily communication to the assigned supervisor.

Essential Skills

+ Experience running network cabling.

+ Ability to read, analyze, and interpret established technical procedures or governmental regulations.

+ Capability to interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

+ Effective communication skills for resolving installation challenges verbally and by email.

+ Good verbal and written communication skills.

+ Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

+ Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.

+ Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office products.

+ Basic electronic knowledge.

+ Strong mechanical ability.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in installation, preventive maintenance, and field service.

+ Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.

Work Environment

The work environment involves conducting installations, repairs, and preventative services on liquid Bulk CO2 tanks and beverage gas systems. You will work in a safe, courteous, and timely manner, following our company's policies and procedures, and uphold the five pillars of safety while leading by example.

Job Type & Location

This is a 1-Year Contract position based out of Elk Grove Village, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
