    Job Title: Parts Clerk

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Parts Clerk to join our team. This role involves managing material handling, inventory control, purchasing, logistics, and receiving. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining organization within the warehouse, performing inventory counts, creating purchase orders, and ensuring accurate receipt and distribution of parts.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate outside seated forklift and inside standup forklift for moving parts within the warehouse.

    + Maintain organization of the yard and warehouse.

    + Perform weekly cycle counts using a handheld scanner and investigate discrepancies between physical inventory and computer records.

    + Issue parts to production both in the computer system and physically by scanning parts out of locations to production bays.

    + Return unused parts to warehouse locations and update shop orders in the system.

    + Create purchase orders for local suppliers and pickup parts from local suppliers.

    + Track incoming shipments and prepare for receiving.

    + Schedule pickups for logistics services or UPS small packages.

    + Submit freight claims to logistics services or UPS.

    + Verify packing slips against received items and report discrepancies to the Materials Supervisor.

    + Receive items in the computer system and scan packing slips after receiving parts.

    + Scan parts received into warehouse inventory.

    Essential Skills

    + 12+ months experience with inventory in an ERP/MRP system.

    + 12+ months forklift experience.

    + 12+ months experience in a warehouse.

    + Strong computer skills.

    + High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.

    + Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.

    + Valid Driver's License.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Customer service oriented.

    + Proficient in data entry and inventory management.

    + Experience with shipping and receiving.

    + Ability to work both indoors and outdoors.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a mechanic garage setting and fabrication production shop, with partial stock of product kept outside. Be prepared to work outdoors 75% of the time and indoors 25% of the time. The standard work schedule is from 7 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with flexibility for overtime. Dress code includes jeans or long work pants, a nice polo or T-shirt, and steel-toed shoes due to customer interfacing.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, Arizona.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
