Position Description
Work at the direction of the terminal manager to ensure compliance with all internal and external rules and regulations. Promote Kinder Morgan SQE culture and the development of employees while continuing to ensure operational excellence.
Position Requirements
Advise terminal management of progress toward objectives and develop strategies for necessary adjustments. Ensure departmental production objectives are achieved and consistent with EHS, customer requirements and quality standards. Develop, instruct, motivate and discipline the workforce in compliance with KM standards.Recognize and promote ideas that provide safer, more efficient and cost effective operations.Effectively interface with customer representatives, regulators, KM staff and others as required.Assist and ensure terminal compliance with regulatory agenciesIssue and ensure compliance with work permits and site specific safety proceduresEnsure internal and external audit readiness in operational areasMonitor and implement training curriculum, changes to corporate policies and procedures Implement and support SQE (Safety, Quality and environmental) initiatives and directivesOrganize and document terminal inspections Conduct monthly safety committee meetingsMaintain terminal records and documents Develop and adjust terminal site specific procedures and ensure proper implementationWork at the direction of the terminal manager Other functions as trained and assigned.Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communications to a diverse workforce. Must demonstrate a familiarity of the products, modes of transport, and methods of handling dry bulk materials. Ability to accept direction and work effectively & cooperatively with other people Proficient in the use of computers and applications(Microsoft office, database, and internet search engines) Must be proficient in Microsoft Power Point application Ability to take initiative, exhibit self-direction and work with co-workers to accomplish defined goals in a fast paced, challenging environmentMust be able to work with a team, give direction Must be proficient with in the use of computers and applications ( Microsoft office, database and internet search engines) Must be proficient in Microsoft Power Point application Job location is in the Philadelphia PA area Requires work in all types of weather conditions Must be available to work all shifts and weekends Minimal overnight travel. Availability and periodic response to emergency situations on a 24/7 basis.
