• Director of Operations

    Robert Half Finance & Accounting (Tallahassee, FL)


    Description

    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations to join our client's progressive, privately-owned veterinary practice. This role will work closely with the CEO/Owner, hospital coordinator, and department leads to ensure smooth daily operations and drive growth and efficiency across the organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Oversee day-to-day hospital operations and workflow efficiency

    + Manage and support staff, schedules, and resources

    + Evaluate and manage inventory, ordering, and cost control

    + Analyze current processes and implement operational improvements

    + Develop budgets, monitor financial performance, and drive profitability

    + Collaborate on marketing initiatives and hospital development, if interested

    + Supervise facilities, grounds, and weekend operations as needed

    + Provide occasional staff coverage when necessary

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree required; CVPM certification preferred

    + 5+ years of leadership experience, preferably in a veterinary or healthcare setting

    + Strong organizational, financial, and team management skills

    + Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
