    Job Title: Installation Supervisor Job Description

     

    Oversee the installation of large-scale automation systems in automotive manufacturing facilities, acting as the on-site representative. Manage timelines, handle real-time issues, and coordinate with teams of 30-60 individuals, including customer personnel and internal engineers.

    Responsibilities

    + Monitor project milestones and timelines; escalate scheduling concerns as needed.

    + Document delays caused by external factors and report them to the project manager.

    + Submit detailed reports to the customer for paid support, clearly separating warranty and billable hours.

    + Assist with vendor tooling approvals and participate in project runoffs when possible.

    + Coordinate with external installation crews to ensure a productive and professional working relationship.

    + Review and file weekly support reports with job numbers and detailed work descriptions; summarize and share with project leadership.

    + Submit daily activity summaries within 24 hours.

    + Help maintain and update the Open Issues List; communicate customer-raised concerns to the project manager.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 3+ years overseeing equipment installs

    + Preferred Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office for documentation and project tracking

    Work Environment

    This role requires travel to customer facilities, accounting for 70-80% of the time, including manufacturing plants where heavy equipment is installed, tested, and operated. The remaining 20-30% of the time will be spent at the main office, collaborating with internal teams and tracking projects. Expect a dynamic work environment with large teams and significant customer interaction.     This is a Permanent position based out of New Hudson, Michigan.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/yr.

     

    401k plan with profit sharing. 20% bonus on average per year depending on overall company performance. Extra day of PTO added for any time this person is required to work a weekend day. 2 weeks of vacation to start. Great health care and overall medical benefits as well.
