    Job Title: Superintendent of Construction Job Description

     

    We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Traveling Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage commercial construction projects nationwide. This role involves actively engaging in hands-on carpentry work while coordinating subcontractors, labor, and materials on-site.

    Responsibilities

    + Oversee on-site construction activities and ensure compliance with project plans and safety standards.

    + Coordinate and manage subcontractors, labor, and materials efficiently.

    + Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety, quality, and adherence to project plans.

    + Perform carpentry tasks as needed, including framing, installation, repairs, and finishing.

    + Collaborate with the project manager to achieve project goals within the specified timeline.

    + Communicate effectively with project stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, and team members.

    + Implement and enforce safety protocols, actively participating in safety initiatives.

    + Provide on-site leadership, guidance, and support to the construction team.

    Essential Skills

    + Proven experience as a construction site supervisor with hands-on carpentry skills.

    + Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.

    + Ability to lead and coordinate on-site construction activities effectively.

    + Excellent communication and leadership skills.

    + Basic understanding of project management principles.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Relevant certifications in carpentry or construction supervision are a plus.

    + Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a dynamic construction environment.

    + Proficiency in blueprint reading, subcontractor management, and construction safety.

    + Familiarity with Procore, project scheduling, and commercial construction management.

    Work Environment

    This position requires 100% travel as the projects are located nationwide. The company offers a great travel package, a company allowance/vehicle, and a generous bonus after a year.     This is a Permanent position based out of Aberdeen, North Carolina.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
