    Job Title: Director of Research and Development

    Job Description

    Seeking a highly skilled and visionary R&D Director to lead formulation development and production scale-up efforts. This role involves creating innovative, high-quality cosmetic, hand, and body care formulations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and taking products from lab prototypes to mass production.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead formulation development and innovation for cosmetics, hand, and body care products.

    + Oversee scale-up from lab prototypes to mass production while maintaining quality and consistency.

    + Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards (FDA, EU, GMP).

    + Manage and mentor a team of chemists and technicians.

    + Collaborate with marketing, production, QA, supply chain, and external partners.

    + Stay current with market trends, emerging ingredients, and technologies.

    + Manage R&D projects, budgets, and timelines from concept to commercialization.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in Chemistry and Formulation.

    + Experience in R&D and people management.

    + Proven track record in scaling products from lab to mass production.

    + Strong understanding of cosmetic chemistry and regulatory compliance.

    + 8–10 years of R&D experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within cosmetics or personal care.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or related field (Master’s/Ph.D. preferred).

    + Proven experience in developing unique formulations.

    + Exceptional leadership, project management, and collaboration skills.

    The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
