What you'll do

The primary purpose of the Resident Aide position is to assist the Nursing staff in performing assigned tasks that do not require licensure or certification.

+ Assist in resident transports throughout the facility and to and from medical appointments as assigned

+ Assist in passing fluids and nourishment to residents after completing appropriate in-servicing under guidance of the LPN/Charge Nurse

+ Assist the nursing staff in performing tasks as assigned such as bed-making for empty beds only, passing and retrieving meal trays, straightening linens, cleaning closets and bedside tables, answer call lights and resident’s alarms

+ Attend facility offered feeding assistant course as scheduled (expected competency to assist feeding residents as assigned)

+ All other non-technical duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing, Nurse Supervisor or Nurse Care Coordinator

+ Attend all required in-services and follow all department and facility policies and procedures including the use of personal protective equipment.

+ Maintain CONFIDENTIALITY of all resident care and employee information and follow HIPAA and HIV regulations

+ Follow infection control and nursing standards for obtaining and recording vitals

Physical Requirements:

+ Light Work - Exerting up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg control requires exertion of forces greater than that of sedentary work and if the worker sits most of the time, the job is considered light work.

+ Occasional balancing, crouching, typing/clerical/dexterity, kneeling, lifting, pulling, seeing/monitor/computer use, stooping, fit testing

+ Frequent grasping, hearing, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, standing, talking, visual acuity (color, depth, perception), walking

Hazards:

+ Occasional bodily fluids/bloodborne exposure

Working Conditions:

+ Occasional noise and odors

Travel:

+ Occasional Travel - The job may require travel from time-to-time, but not on a regular basis

Pay Range

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement.

Pay Range Minimum:

USD $16.00/Hr.

Pay Range Maximum:

USD $24.00/Hr.
