Pay Range for this opportunity $28.00 - $38.00 per hour DOE
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our patient care team for a 13-week contract assignment. This role supports both clinical and administrative functions, ensuring efficient patient care and helping optimize physician workflows. The Medical Assistant serves as a key member of the care team, assisting patients in accessing timely services, coordinating care, and providing excellent patient support throughout their visit.
This position combines clinical responsibilities such as vital signs, medication administration, specimen collection, and procedure support with clerical duties including scheduling, check-in/check-out, and patient communication.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Clinical Support:
+ Room patients and obtain vital signs, weights, and medical history.
+ Assist physicians with procedures, exams, and preventive care measures.
+ Administer vaccines, medications, and injections following approved protocols.
+ Perform point-of-care testing, collect specimens, and manage lab submissions.
+ Respond promptly to patient concerns, reporting changes to licensed clinical staff.
Scheduling & Coordination:
+ Schedule patient appointments, radiology, and referrals efficiently.
+ Ensure timely follow-up and coordination of care for patients.
+ Manage communications via CRM/in-basket systems and patient inquiries.
Administrative & Clerical Duties:
+ Conduct patient check-in/check-out, collect payments, and verify insurance information.
+ Maintain accurate patient records and ensure documentation is complete.
+ Assist with protocol compliance, forms, and other administrative responsibilities.
Clinic Operations Support:
+ Maintain clean and organized exam rooms and clinical areas.
+ Assist with inventory management, medication, and supply ordering.
+ Support special projects or initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Certification:
+ High School Diploma or GED required
+ Medical Assistant Certificate from an accredited program or equivalent training
+ BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required
+ CMA/Registered Medical Assistant preferred
Skills & Abilities:
+ Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and patient care protocols
+ Familiarity with coding, billing, and electronic health record systems
+ Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a care team
+ Commitment to patient advocacy, safety, and high-quality care

**Pay Details:** $28.00 to $38.00 per hour
