Job Title: PLC Support Specialist
Type: Contract | Schedule: 50 hrs/week
Per Diem: Offered to candidates residing 50+ miles from the site
*No Programming skills required*
Overview
Support capital projects by implementing control system solutions and improving client performance. Collaborate with engineering, construction, and commissioning teams.
Key Responsibilities
+ Coordinate technician schedules and manpower forecasts
+ Track commissioning constraints and deficiencies
+ Integrate design/construction schedules with commissioning
+ Provide schedule and quality reports
+ Conduct system walkdowns and root cause analysis
+ Train and manage supplier access to commissioning software
+ Interface with engineering and client teams
Required Skills
+ 2+ years in I&C or Electrical commissioning/construction (Advanced Tech sector)
+ Experience with Rockwell Automation, PLC5, Allen Bradley, Control Logix
+ Familiarity with large capital projects and Design/Build environments
+ Strong technical communication and reporting skills
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
+ 3+ years with control systems in data centers or similar environments
+ Proficient in control systems programming and configuration
+ Experience with BMS/SCADA platforms and I/O checkouts
+ Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
**** NO PROGRAMMING NEEDED**** Main responsibility is to troubleshoot the PLC after its been installed
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
