    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer to join our team at the Fort Wayne, IN office. This role involves performing general project administrative duties such as computer-aided design and drafting, preparation of contract documents, engineering computations and budget estimates, and inspection and administration of construction for Civil Engineering projects.

    Responsibilities

    + Provide engineering support for a variety of Civil Engineering projects including roadway reconstruction, sanitary sewers, storm sewers, water mains, bridges, retaining walls, trails, traffic signals, marinas, and asset management projects.

    + Contribute to site design for residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial development.

    + Assist in client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.

    + Develop estimates of probable construction costs.

    + Analyze and prepare reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, and tests.

    + Prepare design computations and quantity estimates.

    + Assist in the preparation of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, studies, permits, and designs for projects.

    + Develop computer models for hydraulics, hydrology, traffic, and terrain.

    + Perform construction inspection duties as needed to monitor progress and ensure compliance with contract documents.

    + Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D software to prepare engineering and design documents.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field.

    + 5 or more years of experience in site/civil design or transportation design, including hydraulic modeling, authoritative codes and regulations, subsurface utilities design, site grading, storm sewer systems and facilities, and land disturbance permitting.

    + Possession of EIT certification and on track to obtain PE.

    + Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + PE License in Indiana is a nice to have.

    + Experience in project management.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
