Job Title: Designer Drafter Job Description
We are seeking a detail-driven Designer Drafter who thrives in SolidWorks and enjoys turning complex ideas into precise, buildable solutions. Responsibilities
+ Create detailed electrical and structural designs using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
+ Collaborate with engineering teams to refine layouts and meet project goals.
+ Ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
+ Maintain documentation and support quality checks.
+ Contribute to process improvements and R&D initiatives.
Essential Skills
+ 1-3 years of SolidWorks experience in a drafting/design capacity.
+ Proficient in AutoCAD.
+ Experience with structural steel, telecommunication, power distribution, utility design, substation design, transmission line design, protection & relays, civil/structural, Fusion 360, and Inventor.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 2+ years of drafting/design experience in utilities or engineering.
+ Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
+ Ability to work independently and communicate within cross-functional teams.
+ Associate’s degree in drafting/design or related field (Bachelor’s a plus).
Work Environment
Work in an office 5 days a week with schedule flexibility, including early start and shift times. There is a possibility for a hybrid setup after the initial 90-day period, contingent on performance, proficiency with SolidWorks, and communication skills. The office fosters a community environment with 9 team members, promoting positivity and a positive attitude. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Salem, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
