    Your Impact

     

    As Director, you’ll lead the delivery of innovative thermal utility solutions that serve campuses, hospitals, airports, mission-critical facilities, and other energy districts across the Jacobs Energy & Power - North America business unit. You’ll guide projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable energy delivery.

    In this role, you will:

    * Shape market strategy and drive growth across aviation, healthcare, higher education, federal, and advanced manufacturing sectors.

    * Lead client engagements, proposal development, and project execution.

    * Mentor and grow a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers.

    This position will be opened for at least 3 days.

    What You’ll Bring

    * Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

    * 10+ years of experience in design, project management, consulting, construction, commissioning, or operations of thermal utility systems.

    * Proven expertise in chilled water, hot water, and steam systems for large facilities or campuses.

    * Strong communication and technical writing skills.

    * Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholder relationships.

    Preferred Qualifications

    * Professional Engineering (PE) license.

    * Experience in operational leadership and team development.

    * Familiarity with various construction delivery methods.

    * Business financial acumen and strategic planning skills.

    * Established network within the thermal utilities and mechanical engineering community.

    Salary Range: $140,800 - $210,000
