Responsibilities Job Summary The HR Shared Services Specialist is the first line contact for team members, retirees, leadership and HR vendors seeking help with benefits, payroll and other HR processes and transactions. Responsible for daily processing of new hires, job changes, and personnel record maintenance. Performs a variety of administrative duties related to daily operations of organization's Human Resources related programs. Participates in process and system improvement work and may also be assigned additional activities with annual open enrollment, vendor files, reporting, etc. Delivers high quality customer service and maintains confidentiality of all information. Essential Functions Answers incoming service center calls and emails from team members, retiree’s, management and HR vendors. Provides team members with accurate, consistent, and timely responses and explanations regarding HR related questions and issues with the goal to solve the question or issue at the first initial contact. Performs daily transactional processing and data management in HR systems to maintain accurate employment records. May include data entry of hires and job changes as well as interfacing with Recruitment, Compensation and HRIS to resolve issues. Could administer I-9 and License re-verification process. Administers Human Resources related benefit programs; such as Tuition Assistance, Outside Education, Loan Assistance and Employee Service Awards. May Assist with payment and collection processing for Education, Employee Referral Program, Transition Incentives, etc. Troubleshoot and resolve issues ranging from simple to complex questions, using relatively thorough knowledge of HR policies and procedures, HR systems, and internal HR processes. Escalates high-level inquiries and issues by engaging with and assisting the appropriate Human Resources team member(s). Supports specified areas of the HR function with daily management of documentation, processes and tracking. Provides recommendations for continuous improvement of service center functions. Performs other duties as assigned.Education High School Diploma or GED - RequiredExperience 1 year data entry experience - Required 2 years Human Resources experience including data entry - PreferredLicenses and Certifications
