Description & Requirements
Bloomberg runs on data. Our products are fueled by powerful information. We combine data and context to paint the whole picture for our clients, around the clock – from around the world. In Data, we are responsible for delivering this data, news and analytics through innovative technology - quickly and accurately. We apply problem-solving skills to identify innovative workflow efficiencies, and we implement technology solutions to enhance our systems, products and processes - all while providing platinum customer support to our clients.
Our Team
The ESG Team provides our client with fast and accurate ESG data so that they can stay at the top of their game. Using innovative, collaborative, and client focused approaches to data extraction, aggregation, and standardization using cutting edge technology, the ESG data team is responsible for enhancing ESG content for the Bloomberg Terminal and Enterprise products. This includes company-reported and normalized metrics, industry-specific metrics, proprietary ESG scores, climate and regulatory data. Our ESG data is displayed alongside fundamental data, backed by news for context, and used to power a growing suite of sustainable finance products.

+ Get to know how data moves through a complex system and identify the best ways to constructively and safely expose it to stakeholders
+ Leverage technical knowledge of Bloomberg's proprietary or open-source stack to implement effective and innovative solutions
You'll need to have:
+ At least 4 years of experience using Python and/or SQL
+ Financial Markets experience, including an understanding of the Sustainable Finance industry

+ High attention to detail and interest in data cleaning and data wrangling
+ Stakeholder management skills to work across departments and regions, excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially when explaining technical processes and solutions to business partners and management
+ Ability to work independently as well as in a distributed team environment
