General Clerk III – U.S. Army Equipment Turn-In Site (Contractor)
The General Clerk III provides administrative, clerical, and records management support to the contractor team at a U.S. Army equipment turn-in site. This role supports the processing of supply documentation, accountability records, and equipment turn-in forms while ensuring compliance with Army regulations, ISO 9001:2015 standards, and contract requirements. The General Clerk III is responsible for accurate data entry, document control, and coordination with Army unit personnel and contractor site staff.
Responsibilities
Clerical & Administrative Support
+ Process and review supply and turn-in documents including DA Form 1348-1A, DD Form 200, hand receipts, and inventory adjustment forms.
+ Maintain filing systems, both electronic and hard copy, in compliance with Army records management requirements.
+ Provide clerical support for property accountability, logistics, and transportation functions.
+ Draft and prepare correspondence, reports, and forms as directed by site leadership.
Data Entry & Records Management
+ Enter supply and accountability transactions into Army logistics systems such as GCSS-Army, LMP, or DPAS.
+ Ensure all equipment turn-in actions are properly documented and records are maintained for audit readiness.
+ Support the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly reports for submission to the Site Manager, COR (Contracting Officer’s Representative), and QA staff.
Customer Service & Unit Support
+ Provide front-line administrative support to Army units turning in equipment.
+ Assist supply clerks, technicians, and coordinators in resolving documentation errors or discrepancies.
+ Respond to inquiries from Army personnel, supervisors, and government representatives.
Compliance & Quality Support
+ Ensure all clerical and recordkeeping processes align with Army regulations (AR 710-2, AR 735-5, DA PAM 710-2-1).
+ Maintain audit-ready records in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
+ Support quality control staff by preparing documentation for inspections, reviews, and audits.
Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in administration, logistics, or business preferred.
+ 3–5 years of administrative, clerical, or records management experience.
+ Prior experience supporting U.S. Army supply, property accountability, or contractor operations strongly preferred.
+ Familiarity with Army supply regulations: AR 710-2, AR 735-5, DA PAM 710-2-1.
+ Army logistics systems: GCSS-Army, DPAS, LMP (preferred).
+ Proficiency in records management, forms processing, and administrative best practices.
Skills:
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume turn-in environment.
+ Strong teamwork and customer service abilities.
+ Must have the State of Texas driver's license plus proof of vehicle insurance.
+ Must have a Real ID.
+ Must be able to travel if/when needed .
