Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The Sr. Director, Enterprise Applications, will be a key member of the PECNA Technology leadership team, responsible for defining and driving the enterprise applications strategy across a global, multi-site EV battery manufacturing organization. Reporting directly to the CIO, this role will oversee the lifecycle of enterprise platforms and business-critical systems that support the company’s growth, operational excellence, and digital transformation.
This role will provide strategic direction, influence, and alignment ensuring program execution to a team of application professionals, be an All-In partner to business unit leaders, and cultivate strategic vendor and technology relationships. The role is pivotal in aligning technology capabilities with corporate objectives, enhancing productivity, optimizing costs, and delivering game-changing initiatives through a best-in-class digital experience.
Essential Duties:
Strategic Leadership:
+ Develop and execute the enterprise applications roadmap aligned with business objectives and the CIO’s strategic vision.
+ Drive innovation and digital transformation initiatives across ERP, ITSM, CRM, HRIS, and other core operational systems.
+ Act as a thought leader on application modernization, data integration, and automation opportunities across the organization.
Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement:
+ Build and maintain strong "All-In" partnerships with internal business leaders (Operations, Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Engineering, etc.) to ensure enterprise applications meet evolving business needs.
+ Represent the Office of the CIO in managing high-level relationships with external vendors, strategic partners, and system integrators.
+ Lead contract negotiations, licensing agreements, and vendor performance reviews.
Program & Portfolio Oversight:
+ Oversee the application portfolio management including lifecycle planning, upgrades, and rationalization.
+ Lead large-scale application deployments, integrations, and modernization efforts, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
+ Establish governance frameworks, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to monitor application performance and ROI.
Team Leadership & Development:
+ Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing, globally distributed enterprise applications team.
+ Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, agility, and accountability within the team and across IT.
Operational Excellence:
+ Ensure system reliability, scalability, and compliance with security and data governance policies.
+ Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Digital Manufacturing, and Data teams to support the overall IT ecosystem and digital strategy.
+ Support M&A initiatives and global expansion through integration of enterprise systems and scalable application strategies.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
+ To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees’, wearing PPE is a possibility and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

Qualifications
Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred
Education
+ Required: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
+ Preferred: Master’s or MBA
Essential Qualifications
+ 12+ years of progressive experience in IT leadership, with at least 5 years in a senior applications leadership role.
+ Proven experience managing ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics), ServiceNow, and other like digital enterprise platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google) in a manufacturing or technology environment.
+ Strong understanding of business process design, systems architecture, and digital transformation strategies.
+ Track record of success managing complex projects, cross-functional teams (onshore, near shore and offshore), and global technology initiatives.
+ Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive stakeholder management skills.
