Your Role at KIK
As the Director of Continuous Improvement, you will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Continuous Improvement to lead the design, implementation, and oversight of Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence initiatives across our chemical manufacturing operations. This role is critical in driving a culture of continuous improvement, process efficiency, cost reduction, and sustainable performance in safety, quality, productivity, and environmental compliance.
The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of manufacturing excellence within the chemical industry, along with strong leadership, communication, and change management skills.
What You’ll Be Doing
+ Develop and lead the enterprise-wide continuous improvement strategy aligned with business goals.
+ Partner with senior leadership to embed a CI culture across the organization.
+ Champion Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and best practices.
+ Identify, prioritize, and lead improvement initiatives focused on yield improvement, waste reduction, throughput, and safety.
+ Lead and manage cross-functional continuous improvement projects focused on cost reduction, quality enhancement, and process optimization.
+ Standardize operating procedures and drive consistency across production sites.
+ Use data-driven analysis to identify root causes and deliver sustainable improvements.
+ Train cross-functional teams in Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, and other CI tools.
+ Build internal capability through coaching, mentoring, and training programs.
+ Define KPIs to measure improvement success and ROI.
+ Monitor project performance and ensure accountability for results.
+ Report regularly on CI metrics, project outcomes, and key achievements.
+ Act as a change agent to drive CI adoption in all levels of the organization.
+ Ensure CI practices align with regulatory and environmental compliance requirements specific to chemical manufacturing.
What You’ll Bring
+ Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
+ Career background in maintenance & technical background and plant management required, multi- site experience preferred.
+ 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a CI leadership role within the chemical or process industry.
+ Experience with multi-sites (2+)
+ Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt strongly preferred.
+ Proven track record of leading large-scale transformation and improvement programs.
+ Strong analytical skills and experience with tools such as DMAIC, SPC, Value Stream Mapping, etc.
+ Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
+ Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
+ Knowledge of ISO standards or other industry-specific certifications.
+ Experience in multi-site operations and scalability of CI programs.
